Go beyond type. Understand the pattern beneath the personality.
Knowing an Enneatype is only the beginning.
Two people can share the same type and still behave very differently. Their instinct, subtype, centre, wing and relational strategy shape how their personality appears in real life.
The IIRHD Practitioner Enneagram Training enhances participants deepen their understanding of personality dynamics through subtypes, countertypes, centres of intelligence, wings and triads.
This training is not about adding more labels.
It is about seeing more clearly how people protect themselves, adapt to the world and move through relationships, stress and development.
Who this training is for
This program is designed for:
- participants who already know the foundations of the Enneagram
- coaches and therapists who want to refine their use of the model
- HR professionals working with personality, motivation and behaviour
- trainers, consultants and facilitators supporting human development
If you want a simple personality label, this is not your program.
If you want to understand what drives the pattern behind the type, you belong here.
What you will learn
You will learn how to:
- understand the three instinctive subtypes: self-preservation, sexual/one-to-one and social
- identify how subtype changes the expression of each Enneatype
- explore the 27 subtype profiles
- recognise countertypes and avoid common mistyping errors
- work with the three centres of intelligence: instinctive, feeling and thinking
- understand wings and how they influence personality expression
- explore social styles, conflict styles and relational patterns through the triads
- distinguish type, subtype, instinct, defence strategy and behavioural expression
How we work
Heart + Science + Application.
The training combines theoretical input, profile exploration, group reflection and applied exercises.
Participants work on:
- subtype identification and comparison
- countertype recognition
- centres of intelligence
- wings and triadic dynamics
- free association exercises in pairs or triads
- observation of emotional, cognitive and behavioural patterns
- practical application in coaching and development contexts
The approach is reflective and experiential. Participants learn to observe more accurately, question more precisely and avoid reducing people to simplified type descriptions.
Outcomes
By the end of the training, participants will be able to:
- read Enneagram profiles with greater nuance and accuracy
- understand why the same Enneatype can appear in different ways
- identify subtype dynamics and instinctive priorities
- recognise countertypes and reduce typing errors
- use centres, wings and triads to deepen personality analysis
- better understand stress, adaptation and relational behaviour
- apply the Enneagram with more precision in coaching, training, therapy and human development
The Enneagram becomes powerful when it moves beyond description.
It becomes a path for understanding how personality is built, how it protects itself – and how it can open.
